Families with Special Needs Resource Fair

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

The Burbank Preschool Center and Facing Autism in our Schools Today (F.A.S.T) is co-sponsoring a Families with Special Needs Resource Fair on the Burbank Preschool Center campus on Saturday October 22, 2011 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. This resource fair is for families who have children with special needs ranging from pre-k through high school.

The Burbank Preschool Center is a unique resource in the Oakland Unified School District.  It predominantly caters to a population of children on the Autism spectrum and its families.

F.A.S.T is a grassroots organization made up of parents who have children with special needs. F.A.S.T works with organizations and community leaders to educate and enrich the lives of families by organizing social and educational community events.

We would like to extend a complimentary invitation to your organization to participate in this event.

  • Autism Answers

As you may be aware, it can be scary and overwhelming for parents to navigate their way through the many challenges they often face in seeking services and resources for their children.  In choosing to participate, you will have the opportunity to meet and potentially collaborate in future endeavors that will benefit these families.

Your organization will be provided a booth for your materials. A light snack as well as lunch will be provided with our compliments.

We would appreciate your RSVP no later than Friday September 23rd.  You can e-mail us at resourcefair.burbank@gmail.com or call the Burbank Preschool Center at 1(510)729-7771

Please feel free to pass along this event’s information to any organization that you think would be an asset for OUSD special needs families and interested in participating.

While the event is complimentary your donations or sponsorship is welcome and greatly needed to ensure that this event maintains is gratis status.

Thank you for your time and consideration. We hope to see you at what promises to be an unforgettable fun filled day of learning and socializing.
